Remington Arms agreed today to pay $73 MILLION to the families of five adults and four children killed in the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. This is the FIRST time a gun manufacturer has been held liable for a mass shooting in the U.S.

I still consider Sandy Hook one of America’s low points as a nation. The fact we as a nation did nothing after that…just wow…

Glad there is some very limited accountability at least

This is definitely not going to help the trans community.

Maybe, if we changed the logo of school shootings, Republicans will be in an uproar to fix it.

I don’t think it will have any impact. People who hate transgender people will continue to do so and people who believe everyone is entitled to the same rights will continue to believe this… I mean think about it: every previous school shooter was not trans so the fact one is will change something? The school shooter in Newton was on the autism spectrum and nobody remembers or cares.

What I do think is that in these cases the less publicity about the shooter the better. Often these people crave the attention and that’s the reason for their actions.

Never mention their name or click on a story about them. If society ignored the shooter and just focused on the crime we would be a lot better off.

You are forgetting a core system at work here.

All religions force society to hate all LGBT people. If a white, albino, midget porn star killed 1000 people in a kid's parade, no one would ostracize them.

A gay person, kills one person . . . AMERICA HAS A LGBT PROBLEM.

THEY DON'T EVEN WANT US IN MOVIES OR TV SHOWS.

I get it that you feel persecuted and all but what you say is just not true. A majority of Americans support gay people’s rights. Now trans is a bit different. No, a majority of American s do not want trans people born male competing against women in sports.

But hey you be you…if you enjoy feeling all Americans hate gay people you do you. It’s a minority of people you are talking about.

And Hollywood being anti-gay? If Hollywood didn’t hire gay people there wouldn’t be a Hollywood.

Also, younger generations are very different from the older ones. Much freer about their sexuality. I see it all the time in person with people I work with. They don’t have the hangups my generation or god forbid my parents had.

Absolutely a take you should not say out loud!

But also, what's the "sophies choice" here?  Democrats have already given up on trans rights! Two of the presumed 2028 candidates are already adopting right wing talking points about it!

We’re never getting gun control in this country.
