Here's a thought...wasn't there some band (maybe Ween) that let a fan or certain fans that had tattoos of the band in on the guest list to just about any show? How about if the first 10 folks to get 9:30 Club tattoos get into shows for free for life? Maybe you could require them to have a 3-drink minimum? How cool would that be.  :)

I'm assuming you mean a 3 drink minimum before deciding to permanently mark themselves with the 9:30 logo...

Any chance of getting Redbridge beer somewhere in the club for people allergic to wheat/gluten? FYI it tastes better than New Grist if you were considering that one.

Well an all-time coup would be sonic youth opening for JAMC at merriweather this summer.  Just saying it wouldn't suck.

probably not, based on JAMCs' sets last week - pretty melodic and the distorsion was dialed way down compared to back in the day.  i didn't catch SY, but if they've mellowed out at all then merriweather's speakers should live to see another day.

You make a good point.  It may be more responsible to have SY and JAMC separately play the Club.

everything is "dialed down" in California!
