When's it open? He has a few NY dates in March... also, does U St. Music Hall still exist in some capacity?

Well, he just announced a big euro tour the week after the NY shows, so I'm going to assume DC is off the table.

Saw Beck at the Lincoln for the Sea Change tour.  Still the best show I have ever seen there.

man, wish I caught that show, that was such a great album.  that and Mutations are his best releases IMO
I saw him only a few years prior at the George Mason and seem to remember that being a very meh show
beck tens to yelp a lot live

Besides his first two masterpiece albums before Mellow Gold . . . Mutations affected me deeply as a music listener.  I also caught the Patriot Center show and though I don't consider it a meh show, it definitely did not have the power of the Lincoln show.  The Patriot show was more of a showman's show, where the Lincoln was an artistic experience.

Dude tell me you remember you saw him at the club?

Sea change is a pretty good forgery…. One song completely copies a Gainsbourg song..another does the same with Nick Drake… “Hey dad can you copy Riverman on the strings? Yeah here is the Nick Drake song..”….”Hey dad you know how I am always going on about Melody Nelson by Serge being my favorite? Can you copy it? Even if I keep yapping about it nobody will care and people will think I am a genius!”

I do, but for some reason the only thing I remember is him yelping a lot and making a lot of non-melodic racket
I don't have a good recollection of that show

Oh

Well we both thought it was disappointing…

I remember lights that lit up on stage and Beck doing his Prince impression like Debra…I think he even sang from floor…midnight vultures hadn’t come out but that was his vibe… for whatever reason I Don’t remember venue being crowded and we were more in the middle

When I saw him At MPP it was much better…at 930 it was like a white dude trying too hard to be Prince and it wasn’t quite clear if it was a joke…uncomfortable

yeah I remember that, especially since he doesn't have a particularly smooth voice
both the GMU/930 shows I thought were sub par

I did like his Anthem show
