I agree. We'll actually be in Montreal the first day of the festival, but since my we'll be with my mom, won't be hitting the fest.

I agree with Hoya about Virgin having the big anchor bands. I'd rather see a festival full of critical darlings than a collection of bands designed to attract a wide and casual listening demographic.

if i lived in Montreal , this is a much better deal.

and if i lived in Cali, then Coachella would be a better deal.

i dont get your point here.

Alright, for argument sake, let's say you lived in Nebraska. Or somewhere else where the travel expense to any one of them is equal.

Using your analogy, I guess a vacation at Ocean City would be a better deal than a vacation on the French Riviera.

Ok, gotcha.

I don't have any interest in a vacation in OC or MB, nor do I want to go to either festival. So perhaps you are "spot on"...as the wannabe hipsters say...in your comparison.

Good for you for being enthusiastic about the Virgin Fest.

i cant wait til they open the forum on their site so i can discuss this show with people who are actually going.

and for the record, i wish the lineup was better...but i love festivals and glad i can go to one and sleep in my bed afterwards!  :)

one of my friend bought his tickets on the presale and got the e-tickets and said you were allowed to bring Beer and wine and soda to the show.

now, i am saying 100% thats just not true and they just copied the rules from Preakness, but really...that would be pretty awesome!

fuck rosh hashana, we just have better taste in music and a better sense of a bargain than to shell out $50 more than we should for this festival because two bands we could give a shit about seeing are anchoring the bill

I would rather it wasn't on Rosh Hashana but this was the only date that worked with the key parties involved

so the choice was simply to move forward, or not

I grew up not being allowed to do things like this on Rosh Hashana although, of course, the rest of the world went on while my family made that choice

when I became an adult I was able to make those choices for myself

If someone finds that faith and tradition is more important than going to a rock concert, then I totally respect that decision, as it is a personal one

I hope that those same people will also respect the decisions that other people make for themselves

 let freedom ring
