The sound for Spoon was amazing....wayyy better than the Lincoln Theater show that I saw.

Did some people go home after their set? I swear it was less crowded during B&S ... I guess it's proof that B&S is not for everyone
The couple next to me left as soon as Spoon was done.

Seems like a hefty price to pay to see a 40 minute Ex Hex set.

We left after Spoon, but mainly because our kids had gone officially nuts. We had a great time. Scored AAA row tix getting dumped on craigslist that afternoon, but spent most of the evening on the lawn. Agreed on the Spoon sound, they were thumping.

They're always great fun. They put on some really enjoyable performances. I saw them once at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic and it was one of those truly perfect nights...started off like a really proper performance with the strings and horns and everything...but by the end, people were running through the aisles, dancing like crazy and stage crashing. It was so fun.

I will keep my Ex Hex opinions to myself, as I know what happens when one disagrees with the group think/hive mind on here... And I do not feel like getting attacked for having a different opinion.  I am glad to hear that everyone had fun yesterday.  The only band on that bill that I would have wanted to see was Spoon, and I had already seen them twice (once at MPP and once at Sonar, and I do not think the Sonar show can be topped).

I'm just talking about moving forward, it might be a nice change to just be a little more kind.

Amen, brother.  Now more than ever.

Also loved the Ex Hex set.  Pleasantly surprised by Spoon.  Never experienced them live and don't know much of their material. Keyboard player was very entertaining.  B&S put on a solid show.

Saturday night, the Fleet Foxes had some transcendent moments despite Robin's scratchy throat.  White Winter Hymnal and Mykonos were gorgeous.

Thanks Seth, for making it all happen.

For anyone on the fence about seeing Social Distortion, I caught the show in Philly and loved it. They sounded fantastic and Mike Ness seems more "present" than he has in years. Probably the best show the current lineup has ever done.

roger waters last night.
i've seen a lot of shows, but this was the most spectacular thing i've ever witnessed, pretty sure.
got "free relocation" from the 400's to the 100's which did not suck.
roger was in fine fettle, lucius on b.v., jonathan wilson as david gilmour.
excellent setlist and sound, those visuals.
that pig was this close.
see this show.

After seeing the wall twice, I am upset that I missed this time around in DC. It looked like a killer show.
