sorry.

Get back to me when they bring back the sesame seed variety (available for about 5 minutes in the mid-70s).

might be American in origin
https://www.foodbloggersofcanada.com/canadas-love-for-ketchup-chips/

this is an odd stat
only 10 percent of Canadians even know ketchup chips are exclusively sold in Canada

oh and this guy tried them all (so you don't have to)

i dunno, not surprising to me... when i travel, i generally do not acquaint myself with the full selection of local factory-produced snack foods and then do a point-by-point comparison with everything i consider "normal" at home.  i can describe to you what snacks are found in my local grocery, but no idea what local kids nosh on in the yucatan (last international trip i took).

did you know that Warheads, Candy Corn, Red Vines, Tootsie Roll, Mike And Ike, Life Savers, Laffy Taffy, Dots, Jolly Ranchers, Butterfingers, Hershey's Kisses, and Peanut M&Ms - among many others - are only available in the US of A?  no?  welcome to the 90% (probably higher in the US, actually...)

on the whole, i'd say "yeah, more or less" - in as much as are both are full of conservatives/rednecks.

texas is a better comparison because in addition to the conservative/redneck thing:
- both have cattle
- both have oil & natural gas
- both have education rates below the national average
- both are the first place you think of when someone mentions "regressive social policy"

EDIT: apparently Saskatchewan wants to unseat Alberta as northern redneck central.
