If you live in Virginia...38 days until you can drop off your Absentee vote!
(FTR...I have not heard a single person talk or tweet about this...I think people should be shouting it from the mountain tops in VA)
Curbside voting appears to be an option too!

In-Person Absentee Voting starts: Sep 18, 2020

Absentee and Early Voting In-Person

You can vote early at your local registrar’s office beginning 45 days before Election Day and ending the Saturday before Election Day.
To vote early in-person, do the following:

Starting 45 days before Election Day, visit your local registrar’s office or a satellite voting location in your county or city to vote early.
You do not have to have a reason or fill out an application to vote early.
At the registrar’s office or satellite voting location, you must provide your name and address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement.
Accessible equipment and/or curbside voting is available upon request.

Not sure what accounts for the startling shift but Rice is now betting markets favorite
Terrific, we get to fire up GOP voters to a frothy, Benghazi furor.

Asinine pick.

I don’t think it’s the pick necessarily but it is the first time Rice led Harris...heck, first time Harris trailed

Betting markets aren’t all knowing

The only thing I could find that might explain this was Tucker Carlson at 8 right when the spike happened said it would be Rice and erroneous info circulating that Harris had stopped following Biden campaign on Twitter

Markets seem to have comeback to pre spike levels with Harris leading

The events of last week - ie, race tightening- lead me to think it will be Harris: the less risky choice

Betting markets aren’t all knowing
is there a lot of real money on the line?
Seems like it would be easy to cause some chaos in this market if the cost is low to cause a spike

^I have thought same thing

I don’t really understand betting markets so no idea how much money is involved

It would be funny if Biden picked somebody nobody has even thought of....

Everyone should chill out...Biden is not going to pull a Palin

This pick is not going to be the difference

I will say this, if he goes with Gretchen, he absolutely puts Michigan right back in play for Trump. She is a super polarizing figure in that state.

I know you have allegiance to this state, but I still blame you for not getting the vote out there in 2016

but Gretchen is fairly popular in her state...in 2018 she won with a 10 point spread
and Trump eked out a win by ~10k votes with close to 4.8mill cast
jez the 3rd party vote in the state was over 250k votes

Of the 600 people surveyed between May 30 and June 3, 55% gave the governor positive marks for her job overall while 43% gave her a negative rating.

If only Whitmer was black...

I can see a rationale for picking her regardless....But I don’t see it

I would be kind of shocked...

was not advocating picking GW, but only to show that I don't think Biden would lose MI if he picked her

I know

I think if he picked her he would be way more likely to win Michigan but it would create a huge brouhaha that he didn’t pick a black woman

I can definitely see the rationale for picking her...strengthen your hand in MI, WI etc

I just noticed Harris has the slot right before Joe in the Dem Convention on the last night  (although the VP will be speaking on Wed?)
Rice isn't even listed as a speaker

An Obama will close the 1st and 3rd nights
Hil and Bill
Bernie and AOC also getting talk time

Yang and Beto got the Heisman

This may be driving Rice’s stock in the betting sites but could be a head fake...

Within next 48 hours we will know

He's a handsome dude (Willie, not Hutch), but that's one ugly t-shirt.
