Flora J. Thompson is fed up and she's not gonna take it anymore.

I will probably have every farmer, fertilizer company and corporation on my neck after this letter. I do not care.

Nowadays, I would rather not eat potatoes. Do not say it is me. I have been peeling spuds for over 65 years and they have changed with the types of potato farming. Do Islanders get the seconds, scrubs, culls or what?

a bit of spudtacular context: Mrs. Flora J. Thompson is from Prince Edward's Island, Canada's smallest province - but its largest producer of taters.  growing up, PEI was known for exactly two things, and two things only: anne of green gables, and potatoes.  we must heed her words - this is like a old-time marylander waxing on about crab cakes, or a kentuckian putting down the law on bourbon.  RECOGNIZE AUTHORITY.

All hail our new Potato Head overlords!

Lindsay Canadian Tire is investigating a glitch that caused every store item to scan as a Mr. Potato Head game earlier this morning.

Staff at the store [reported that] foul play isn’t suspected as the glitch only impacted a handful of stores, but Canadian Tire’s head office is investigating. No service interruptions are expected for the rest of the day.

That’s about the best darn potato-parody lyrics ever

Potato holes
Take me home
To the place
Where i belong
West potato
Starchy mama
Potato hole
Take me home
