By filibuster obviously I am thinking of the needing 60 votes to override the filibuster not so much the idea of a person talking forever to prevent business from being conducted.. In the US the problem is the filibuster isn’t so much a filibuster as a permanent hold... it’s actually worse than a traditional filibuster

If in the present political context we require a party to have control of the White House, House of Representatives and 60 senators then governing becomes very difficult

some may say that it’s a positive that the filibuster prevents government from doing or changing much but I think it paralyzes government

I like the parliamentary approach... when a party is in power they get to govern...

Currently the filibuster just protects the minority at the expense of the majority and it’s just not working

And yet the GOP seems to manage…

Finally enough of this 'bi-partisan' bullshit!  They know they are guilty and would never help with this investigation

Speaker Nancy Pelosi just announced that she's launching a select committee to investigate the January 6th

Can I get the 9:30 forum legal team to make a hot take on this one, can I use this in ANY legal proceeding?

Scott MacFarlane@MacFarlaneNews
Jan 6 defendant Pauline Bauer made a motion to have her case dismissed.

The guy with the flag just got eight months in prison and being ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution for a portion of the damage to the building
could have gone in the good news or schadenfreude threads too

In law school, we are taught the attorney that represents themself has a fool for a client.  So the non-attorney that represents herself is going to jail.
