awhile back at a event obama and his wife exchanged a  fist bump as a friendly greeting between the two of them... some in the media started speculating that it was some sort of terrorist greeting and not just you know a fist bump between husband and wife.

so it's only fair that i think that palin considers herself royalty...

UPDATE: Apparently Sarah Palin is leaving the campaign trail to hole up in Alaska for awhile. This is less than a week after Sarah Palin was announced as the VP choice, and she is already disappearing from public view? Is this indicative of the GOP's control over her image? Are we not going to get a chance to really learn what Sarah Palin is all about?
What?  You think one can learn foreign policy overnight? It will take a least week...

Which reminds me, I have never seen a dream candidate fall so out of favor as I have with John McCain and the Economist.  The lovefest was difficult for me to read for a long time, but they are feeling so betrayed at this point.  As if last week's "Bring back the Real McCain" cover wasn't enough, they are ape shit about the Palin choice. [/b]
apparently Palin isn't going on interview shows... can you imagine her on the Daily Show, it would be even more hilarious if she were on Colbert show...

i know it was the articles point, but normally when you post a snippet of an article you are responding to something, i read the entire article and did not understand which part you were focusing on, i think its a pretty flattering portrait

geez. . .touchy, aren't we?

like i can't link to an article that is interesting and, while it is a generally favorable portrait, it does note obama's changing view on his community organizer experience.  just how much did it shape his underlying beliefs and how he has backed away from earlier assertions that relied heavily on it.

what about my response was touchy? seriously i was curious because after reading the whole thing i didnt get which part you were posting it for

as far as changing views, i dont think his views on community organizing are what is important, what important is that he has that experience and made choices in his life based on that

oh, and it didn't appear that he was a terribly successful community organizer. . .plus, it just reinforces the position that he isn't anything but a politician.  that, i think, is one take-away that can be made from that article.  in order to "change" whatever he thinks needs to be change, he'd have to become a politican.  hell, fred thompson said substantially the same thing on the tonight show.

why must you assume i'm always going to be negative?  just because i think obama is a socialist and is more than willing to do and say anything to get himself elected, doesn't mean i don't think there are admirable traits and experiences.  after all, he does come from a broken home, and we know how hard that can be.

i took the exact opposite away from it than you did on him being a politician, he became a politician for reasons other than the glory, he saw a problem as a community organizer and thought the solution to fixing that problem was through politics

most people dont become a small businessman or whatever else is GOP approved to make change, well at least not the kind of change we are talking about

i wish he was a socialist, but its a pretty ridiculous notion that he is
