do we really feel that Biden is going to be unblemished by this Ukraine stuff...and I'm no way implying he did anything wrong
Just seems like even a bigger effort will be afoot to show that Biden did similar stuff with his power as VP
and honestly, if you have that kind of power, it is probably going to be easy to show other examples that look 'shady'
Welp trump has China looking into Hunter there too
Trump is going to quadruple down with saying 'look at biden' when any question is asked (or how Shift should be tarred and feathered for his crimes against humanity)
Seems like nothing was illegal about any of this stuff...but question is...Just because it wasn't illegal, doesn't mean it wasn't swampy
how will the woke voters perceive this (even though the GOP voters don't care if their guys do it)

Just generally bad news for the Dems that Abrams isn't running.  If she were on the ticket it would put both Senate seats and the electoral college votes in play because she would drag everyone else up. Without her, they better to find someone charismatic quick.

so does this count as charismatic..
Matt Lieberman, the son of former Connecticut senator and vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman, is running for Senate in Georgia.

Yeah I think a jew from Connecticut will go over well in Georgia

Edit..almost 15 years living there is good tho has lived in Georgia since 2005.

Trump is relying on "20 treasons are better than 1". If you can no longer deny a crime, boast about it, try to normalize it. That's why the law must be the law, not politics.

He needs to be impeached really quickly

so Mitch can DOA it as soon as it comes his way?
I just don't know what the best strategy is, but I don't think getting out of the house and to the senate will make good headlines when Trump will be like "look the Congress just acquitted me, told you it was a Dem witch hunt"

But what is there to investigate? He is violating the law daily and in public

Impeach quick or he will muddy up the waters and turn it into even more of a circus

Let the Senate do what it will and at least put Republicans on the record

Mitch said he would bring it up for a vote

Can we say President Pelosi?

and you trust mitch to keep to his word

would be funny to see these showing up on stubhub

Look...just what he said today warrants impeachment

A long investigation is not in the interest of anti-Trump forces and seems unnecessary given his public pronouncements

Mitch May or May not let Senate vote...doesn’t change anything

I mean we cannot spend months trying to convince Mitch and however many Republicans we need of what is before our eyes

Do it and move on

so Mitch can DOA it as soon as it comes his way?

based on what i've read, the senate must hold a trial.  so it's not DOA, but could be killed via procedure.  there are no rules regarding how the trial should take place, the senate gets to make them up as they please.  mitch could easily draw up a set of rules that turn the trial into a circus - rules of evidence that make it impossible for the prosecution to make its case, a timetable that takes the trial beyond november 2020, etc.  mitch promised a trial, but didn't specify what sort of a trial.  i certainly expect shenanigans from him.

I just don't know what the best strategy is, but I don't think getting out of the house and to the senate will make good headlines when Trump will be like "look the Congress just acquitted me, told you it was a Dem witch hunt"

by the same token, dems will be able to say "trump is clearly a criminal, we have shown your the proof in our investigation, but his sycophantic supporters in the Senate are letting him get away with it - remove them all now!"
