Yeah, Bob Barr is a real smart choice for president. The man whose biggest accomplishments were sticking "Reagan" on National Airport, and leading the charge of immorality against once-married Clinton despite being married three times and being photographed -- while married to his third wife -- licking cream off the tits of a stripper while in Congress. The guy who, as a prosecutor, was well-known for lying and concealing evidence in order to win cases. Who also paid for one of his wives to have an abortion despite a 100% record of voting against other people's right to have one. Who has been repeatedly been cited for refusing to pay child support to his first two wives.
But Bob Barr is only being the best Bob Barr that Bob Barr can be, Bob Barr that is.
Damn it, don't go convincing me it's a choice of 3 evils. As I see it here's the breakdown.
1. Barr, with all of the hoopla you just mentioned (some I knew about, other tidbits are new to me)
2. McCain, real danger of being 4 more year's of crazy neo-con, Bush 2.0 (instead of the renegade centrist I liked back in 2000) and to boot picks a VP w/ very little experience while he's the oldest presidential candidate ever, and has had bouts with melanoma.
3. Obama, who also has very little experience and totes the democratic party line that more laws and federal government handling everything solves the world's problems.
You tell me, shall I defect to the Constitution party? Every politician is covered in some kind of crap, I'm just hoping to vote for one that's mildly able to run the country and whose stated policies aren't completely contrary to my ideals. Is that too much to ask?
